Juba, South Sudan- Diva Sports has received a brand-new wireless microphone from Victor Lawrence Lual, former Secretary General of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) and current President of the South Sudan Mini Football Federation, in a gesture aimed at supporting women's sports media.
The equipment donation is expected to improve the platform's interview production, audio recordings and storytelling as it continues to promote and give visibility to women in sports.
Founded by Soga Grace, a former Munuki SC women's goalkeeper who began her sporting journey as a netball player, Diva Sports is dedicated to documenting women's sports and highlighting female athletes in South Sudan.
Grace's transition from netball to football and her experience in women's football helped shape her vision of establishing a platform that gives greater visibility to women in sports.
Expressing appreciation for the donation, Diva Sports described the microphone as an important addition to its media equipment.
"This microphone will be a valuable addition to our equipment, helping us improve the quality of our interviews, recordings and storytelling," the platform said.
Diva Sports also acknowledged Lawrence's recognition of its work and encouragement to continue promoting women in sports.
The donation highlights the importance of support from sports administrators and stakeholders in strengthening independent sports media initiatives, particularly those focused on women's sports.
As Diva Sports continues its work under the slogan "Here for Her", the new equipment is expected to support its efforts to deliver improved coverage and tell more stories from South Sudan's sporting community.
