JUBA - South Sudan Women’s Blind Football Team player Dalia has encouraged the men’s national blind football team ahead of their participation in the IBSA Blind Football African Championship Division One 2026 in Alexandria, Egypt.
The championship, scheduled to take place from 1–10 November 2026, will provide South Sudan with an opportunity to compete against some of Africa’s top blind football nations and continue the growth of the sport at international level.
Dalia said the men’s team will not only be playing for themselves but will carry the hopes and pride of the entire country when they travel to Egypt.
Reflecting on the team’s previous achievements, including their appearance in Uganda, she praised their commitment and urged them to maintain the same fighting spirit.
"Our boys are going to represent us in Egypt. Not just only the boys, they are going to represent the entire South Sudan like what they did in Uganda, and we are really, really appreciating from the side of the girls. I just want to say let us continue with that spirit and trust you boys. I'm quite sure you guys are also going to bring it home."
The message from Dalia highlights the unity and growing support within South Sudan’s blind football community as the national team prepares for another major international challenge.
The men’s blind football team will enter the IBSA Blind Football African Championship Division One determined to showcase their ability, compete with confidence, and continue inspiring the next generation of athletes in South Sudan.
