Ugandan boxer Muduwa Brenda has won a bronze medal at the 2026 African Boxing Championship in Nairobi after suffering a unanimous 5-0 semifinal defeat to Kenya’s Mbithe Veronica.
The loss ended Brenda’s hopes of reaching the final, while Mbithe Veronica advanced to the gold-medal bout on home soil.
Despite missing out on a place in the championship final, Brenda’s semifinal appearance secured Uganda a place on the continental podium.
The result adds to Uganda’s medal tally at the 2026 African Boxing Championship, where boxers from across Africa are competing for continental honours.
Veronica will now continue her campaign for the African title, while Brenda leaves the tournament with a bronze medal after a strong run in Nairobi.
