JUBA, South Sudan — The Central Equatoria State Netball Association (CESNA) has invited media houses and journalists to cover the upcoming Central Equatoria State (CES) Peace Tournaments, with netball competitions scheduled to take place in Juba.

The competitions, organised by the Central Equatoria State Youth Union, will be held on October 24, 25 and 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rock City Playground.

In an invitation letter dated October 20, CESNA President Kuli Jeska Wani said the association had mobilised netball teams to participate in the tournaments as part of efforts to promote talent development, sportsmanship, peace and unity.

The competitions will provide clubs and players with an opportunity to showcase their abilities while encouraging peaceful coexistence through sport.

CESNA also highlighted the media’s role in promoting sports development, raising public awareness and giving visibility to emerging talent.

The association has called on media organisations across South Sudan to attend and provide coverage of the tournaments.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to use sport as a platform for community engagement, unity and positive social development in South Sudan.

Sports Hunter South Sudan will continue to follow local sporting initiatives aimed at developing talent and promoting peace through sport.
