JUBA, South Sudan — Al Huriya FC will put their winning start to the 2026/27 season to the test when they face Bajur FC in the third round of the Juba Football Association South Sudan Cup on Thursday.

The match, scheduled for 3:00 pm at Munuki Playground, brings together two sides hoping to advance in the cup competition and pursue their first title in the tournament.

Al Huriya have enjoyed an impressive opening to the Konyokonyo League campaign, recording back-to-back 4-0 victories over Zal Zal FC and Nyakuroun FC under head coach Samuel Gabriel.

Winger Godfrey Geri has been among their standout performers, contributing one goal and two assists in the opening two league matches.

Full-back Robert Wani has also made his mark with one goal and one assist.

The duo could prove important as Al Huriya seek to carry their league form into the knockout competition.

Bajur, however, will arrive with ambitions of their own. They began their league campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Amarat United before drawing 1-1 with Gudele FC in their second fixture.

Forward Karaba Jackson will be one to watch after scoring a hat-trick against Amarat United, and head coach Fula will hope the striker can reproduce that scoring touch against a confident Al Huriya defence.

With both teams targeting progress in the South Sudan Cup, Today’s encounter offers an opportunity to build momentum beyond their league campaigns.

Al Huriya will be looking to maintain their early-season momentum, but Bajur have already shown their ability to score goals and will aim to make the contest competitive.
