Juba, South Sudan- Kulang had a night to forget as a Manchester United fan following their 4–1 defeat to Como in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, but the Rainbow FC forward found a perfect response on the pitch the following evening.
The forward delivered an impressive performance, scoring one goal and providing two assists as Rainbow FC thrashed Imtidad Buluk FC 5–1 in Round Three of the Juba Football Association (JFA) South Sudan Cup at Juba One Playground on Thursday evening.
While Manchester United’s European disappointment left their supporters frustrated including Kulanga. The forward helped Rainbow turn their cup encounter into a convincing victory, contributing directly to three of his side’s five goals.
The emphatic result sends the in-form First Division side into Round Four, keeping their hopes of lifting the South Sudan Cup alive.
For Kulang, it was a memorable individual display — proof that even after a disappointing night supporting his favourite European club, there was plenty to celebrate in Juba.
