Juba, South Sudan — Zal Zal FC have filed a formal complaint against Al Huriya FC over the alleged registration status of goalkeeper Emmanuel Suayi following their 4-0 defeat to the Flames in Week Two of the Juba Football Association (JFA) First Division League, popularly known as the Konyokonyo League.

According to Zal Zal FC secretary Yohana Kudu, Suayi’s name remains on Nyakuroun FC’s player list despite featuring for Al Huriya FC in the match.

Suayi started in goal as Al Huriya secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Zal Zal FC at Bulluk Playground in Juba on Tuesday.

Speaking to Sports Hunter South Sudan, JFA secretary George Sebit confirmed that the complaint had been filed.

“Where did you get the information from? Since you got the information from the secretary of Zal Zal FC, he is the one who filed the complaint, and it is true,” Sebit said.

“The result of the complaint will be confirmed once the board of directors sits,” he added.

Meanwhile, sources close to Al Huriya FC claim that Suayi signed a four-year contract with Nyakuroun FC, although he reportedly had a separate two-year internal agreement with the club.

Suayi joined Al Huriya FC during the club’s July transfers, according to the information available to Sports Hunter South Sudan.

However, the nature of the reported agreements, his current registration status and his eligibility to represent Al Huriya FC remain unclear pending clarification from the relevant parties and the football authorities.

The JFA board of directors is expected to determine the outcome of the complaint after reviewing the matter.

Al Huriya FC currently lead the Konyokonyo League standings with six points, while Zal Zal FC sit temporarily in 12th position.

Sports Hunter South Sudan will continue to follow the case and provide updates as more information becomes available.
