Yei Joint Stars returned to the summit of the South Sudan Women’s Premier League with a commanding 4-0 victory over Salam FC at Bulluk Playground on Sunday evening.

Aluka Grace broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, unleashing a powerful right-footed strike that the Salam FC goalkeeper could not keep out.

Yei Joint Stars doubled their advantage four minutes later when Martha Machakos inadvertently turned Adong’s corner into her own net in the 28th minute.

Esther Anzo made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time, giving Yei Joint Stars a comfortable advantage at the break.

The visitors continued to control the game after the restart and added a fourth in the 85th minute. Spencer finished from close range, tapping home Anzio’s cross from the right flank to complete the scoring.

The victory lifts Yei Joint Stars to six points from two matches and back to the top of the table, ahead of Wajuma on goal difference, while Salam FC remain second from bottom with no points after two rounds.
