Yei Joint Stars opened their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 loss to Everest High Soccer Academy in a friendly match played in Juba on Wednesday.
Everest High Soccer Academy, a side comprising both male and female players, took the lead through John Dut before Nancy Joseph doubled the advantage to complete the victory.
Despite the defeat, the friendly provided valuable match fitness and an opportunity for new head coach Sony Harriet to assess her squad ahead of the upcoming CECAFA tournament.
It was the Super Queens' first defeat since Harriet took charge of the team.
