Juba, South Sudan - Tahrir FC claimed their first victory of the 2026/2027 Juba Football Association (JFA) First Division League campaign with a 2-0 win over Viva Stars FC at Jamus Playground on Tuesday.
After a balanced first half, Tahrir broke the deadlock in the 51st minute through Bolis before Rooney sealed the victory with a stunning long-range strike.
The result marks a strong response from Tahrir, who began their campaign with a 1-0 defeat in their opening match.
Viva Star, who were inactive in Week 1, will look to bounce back when they face fellow debutants Black Eagle FC in Week 3.
