Super Stars FC Bor began their 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League campaign with a 2–0 defeat to Jamus SC Juba at Buluk Playground in Juba on Sunday.
The Skyrockers entered the top flight after a historic domestic campaign in which they won the 2025/26 Bor Football Association First Division title before securing the 2026 South Sudan National League championship, earning promotion to the Premier League.
Making their top-flight debut, Super Stars faced a strong Jamus side and fell behind in the 35th minute when Joseph Iringu opened the scoring for the Buffaloes.
Jamus doubled their advantage just a minute later, with Bandjougou Diallo finding the back of the net to give the hosts a 2–0 lead before half-time.
Super Stars struggled to find a response after the break as Jamus controlled the game and protected their two-goal advantage until the final whistle.
The defeat marks a difficult start to Super Stars’ historic Premier League journey, but the Skyrockers will now turn their attention to their next fixture as they look to secure their first points in the top flight.
For Jamus, the victory provides a winning start to the new campaign under head coach Saber Ben Jabria.
