JUBA, South Sudan — Jamus SC captain and central defender Benjamin Laku has been declared fit to return to team training following an injury sustained against Munuki SC in the South Sudan Premier League.

The club’s medical department confirmed the development in an announcement published on its official Facebook account on Tuesday, stating that Laku was in stable condition, in good health and ready to rejoin team training.

Laku sustained the injury during the Munuki-Payam derby in Week Six of the South Sudan Premier League at Juba National Stadium.

Jamus claimed a 2-0 victory over Munuki to maintain their perfect start to the 2026/27 campaign and remain top of the league standings with 15 points.

The captain’s return to training will be a boost for the league leaders as they look to extend their winning run and strengthen their position at the summit of the table.
