Senegal have welcomed three new faces into their national team setup after head coach Patrick Vieira included Pathé Mboup, Clayton Diandy and Paul Mendy in his 25-man squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against Sudan.

The trio are set to make their first appearances in the Senegal senior national team squad, while midfielder Pape Demba Diop returns to the selection after receiving a previous call-up.

Mboup, Diandy and Mendy will have an opportunity to impress Vieira as the Teranga Lions prepare for two important encounters against Sudan in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers.

The first meeting is scheduled for 12 November in Senegal, with the return fixture taking place on 16 November in Sudan.

The new additions will be hoping to make their mark as Senegal pursue qualification for the 2027 AFCON finals.

Can the newcomers make an immediate impact in the Teranga Lions' colours?
