Kigali- Garde Républicaine FC head coach Kadir Ahmed Robleh believes the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup will play an important role in preparing his team for the upcoming CAF inter-club competitions.
Addressing the media during the pre-match press conference ahead of Friday's Group A clash against Vipers SC in Kigali, Rwanda, the Djiboutian tactician said his players are approaching the tournament with a clear objective of learning and improving.
"This tournament is a valuable learning opportunity for us as we prepare for CAF competition," Robleh said.
"We are here to gain experience, grow as a team, and take each match as it comes."
Garde Républicaine have been placed in a challenging Group A, where they will face Vipers SC, APR FC, and Gor Mahia FC.
The tournament offers the Djiboutian champions a competitive platform to test themselves against some of the region's top clubs before turning their attention to continental action.
