South Sudan Premier League runners-up Jamus SC continue their preparations for the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup with a challenging pre-season friendly against Rwandan giants Rayon Sports FC on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the club's training camp in Rwanda.

The encounter provides both sides with an opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of the regional tournament, which runs from July 24 to August 7.

This will be the second meeting between the two clubs. Their previous encounter came on August 10, 2024, when Rayon Sports secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Jamus in Rwanda.

For Jamus, the fixture offers an early test under newly appointed Tunisian head coach Saber B. Jabria, who took charge on June 17, 2026. The match will be his first opportunity to assess the Buffaloes in competitive action as they build towards the Kagame Cup.

Jamus have been drawn into a difficult Group B, where they will face six-time champions Simba SC, defending champions Singida Black Stars FC, and Mogadishu City Club.

Rayon Sports, meanwhile, will compete in Group C alongside Al Hilal SC, Tusker FC, and KVZ FC.

Under the tournament format, the winners of each of the three groups will qualify automatically for the semi-finals, while the best-performing second-placed team will claim the fourth and final semi-final berth.

With the Kagame Cup fast approaching, Saturday's friendly presents Jamus with an important opportunity to measure themselves against one of East Africa's most successful clubs and build momentum before the competition begins.
