JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN — Lydia Justin has moved to the top of the South Sudan Women’s Premier League scoring chart after her remarkable four-goal performance for Juba Queens FC in Week 2 of the inaugural competition.
The Juba Queens captain found the net four times as the Nile Queens demolished Bentiu City SC 10–0 at Bulluk Playground on Saturday evening.
Justin opened the scoring after just two minutes before adding another in the 13th minute. She completed her hat-trick in the 74th minute and added her fourth seven minutes later to complete a memorable individual display.
Her four goals take her to four for the season, placing her at the summit of the goalscorers’ chart after Week 2.
Justin’s performance also saw her become the first player to score four goals in a single match in the inaugural South Sudan Women’s Premier League.
The captain’s goals formed part of Juba Queens’ dominant attacking display, with Ababiku Zubeda scoring a hat-trick to take her own tally to three.
Juba Queens’ emphatic victory also marked their first win under interim head coach Mani Isabirye Scondo. With the league still in its opening weeks, Justin has made an early statement at the top of the scoring chart.
