The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has summoned 62 players for the provisional South Sudan U-17 squad ahead of the 2026 CECAFA U-17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers in Rwanda.
Mawien Deng Ajiing, popularly known as “Manaw,” has been appointed head coach of the Young Bright Stars and will oversee the team’s preparations for the regional qualifiers.
The 62 players form the provisional pool from which the technical team will assess and select the final squad for the tournament.
The call-up brings together young talents from across the country as South Sudan begins its preparations for the regional competition.
The 2026 CECAFA U-17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers will provide South Sudan with an opportunity to compete for regional honours and pursue a route towards the continental U-17 championship.
