Juba — Jamus SC goalkeeper Kubi Appiah has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing successful right shoulder surgery following an injury sustained during training.
The South Sudan Premier League runners-up confirmed the development, expressing their support for the Ghanaian goalkeeper as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation process.
“Our goalkeeper Kubi Appiah has been discharged from the hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery and a swift return to the pitch.”
The club is expected to provide further updates on Appiah’s recovery timeline and rehabilitation programme as he works towards returning to full fitness.
Appiah has not featured for the Buffaloes during the ongoing 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup, with goalkeeper Majak Maling starting all three Group B matches as Jamus secured a historic place in the semi-finals under new head coach Saber Ben Jabria.
The Ghanaian goalkeeper joined Jamus SC on 22 December 2025 and played a key role in the club’s squad during their successful 2025/26 South Sudan Premier League campaign.
Jamus SC will now continue their historic CECAFA Kagame Cup journey while hoping for a full and successful recovery for Appiah as he prepares for his eventual return between the posts.
