Juba, Sudan - Jamus SC maintained their perfect start to the South Sudan Premier League 2026/27 season with a 3-1 victory over Salam FC at Juba National Stadium on Tuesday evening.
George Rodriguez opened the scoring for Jamus from the penalty spot in the sixth minute, giving the league leaders an early advantage.
Jamus doubled their lead in the 64th minute when Rama found the net to put the Buffaloes firmly in control.
Paul America added a third goal in the 90th minute, scoring in the 90+3rd minute to put the result beyond doubt.
Salam FC pulled one back from the penalty spot through Adim in the 90+5th minute, but there was no late comeback for the visitors.
The match ended with further drama as Jamus goalkeeper Majak Mawith was shown a red card in the 90+6th minute for a reckless challenge on a Salam player.
The victory keeps Jamus at the top of the South Sudan Premier League table with 12 points from four matches, maintaining their 100 percent record.
Jamus are now three points clear of Holy Family FC and Munuki SC, who sit second and third respectively with eight points each.
The match was also the second South Sudan Premier League fixture played at Juba National Stadium this season following the completion of the stadium's renovation.
The first SSPL match at the renovated stadium was played on Monday, when Munuki SC defeated Al Hilal SC Wau.
Jamus will now look to maintain their perfect start as the 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League season continues.
