James Mabak has emerged as Al Hilal SC’s leading scorer after the opening four matches of the 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League season, with four goals.
Mabak announced himself in emphatic fashion on the opening matchday, scoring a hat-trick as Al Hilal defeated Koryom FC 7-2 in Week 1.
The forward then added another goal in Week 3, scoring Al Hilal’s consolation goal in their 5-1 defeat to Malakia SC.
His four goals account for 40 per cent of Al Hilal’s 10 goals so far this season.
Al Hilal have otherwise endured a difficult start under coach Bapting Aliab. After their opening-day victory, they suffered three successive defeats, losing 3-1 to Wajuma FC in Week 2, 5-1 to Malakia SC in Week 3 and 2-1 to Munuki SC in Week 4.
After four matches, Al Hilal have one win and three defeats, with 10 goals scored, 12 conceded and three points collected.
Mabak’s scoring form will be crucial for Al Hilal as they look to end their losing streak and revive their campaign in the coming weeks.
