Gor Mahia have been drawn against Al Hilal SC in the semi-finals of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after the Sudanese giants secured the best runner-up position from the group stage.

Al Hilal sealed their place in the last four after finishing second in Group C following a 1–0 defeat to Rayon Sports in their decisive final group match played at Amahoro Stadium on Saturday.

The result saw Rayon Sports finish top of Group C, while Al Hilal remained the best second-placed team across the three groups with six points and a superior goal difference, earning them a semi-final meeting with Group A winners Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia topped Group A after a tightly contested battle with Vipers SC and APR FC, with all three teams finishing on six points. The Kenyan champions progressed on goal difference after scoring six goals and conceding only once in their three group matches.

The Kenyan giants began their campaign with a dominant 5–0 victory over APR, suffered a narrow 1–0 loss to Vipers, and concluded the group stage with a 1–0 win over Garde Républicaine courtesy of Paul Okoth’s third-minute strike.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal started Group C with back-to-back victories, defeating Tusker FC 2–0 and KVZ 4–0, before their narrow loss to Rayon Sports in the group decider.

Gor Mahia and Al Hilal will now meet in the semi-finals on 4 August 2026 at Kigali Pele Stadium, with a place in the CECAFA Kagame Cup final at stake.
