Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia have departed for Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup, with the club confirming that the travelling contingent left in two groups.
The first batch departed at midday, while the second group was scheduled to leave at 7:00 p.m., as K'Ogalo begin their journey for the regional tournament.
Club statement:
"Kigali bound… The first wave of our contingent took off at noon, with the second batch wheels-up at 7 p.m. tonight, all ahead of Saturday's Rayon Day clash and the CECAFA tournament in Rwanda," Gor Mahia said in a statement.
Before kicking off their CECAFA Kagame Cup campaign, Gor Mahia will also take part in Rayon Day on Saturday, the annual celebration hosted by Rwandan club Rayon Sports.
