Reigning South Sudan Premier League and South Sudan Cup champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu continued their impressive pre-season form with a 1-0 victory over Uganda Premier League side Maroons FC at Hamz Stadium in Uganda.
The win marks El Merriekh SC Bentiu's fourth consecutive victory in pre-season as the club continues its training camp ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The South Sudanese champions delivered another disciplined display to overcome their Ugandan opponents, extending their unbeaten run in warm-up matches as they fine-tune preparations for the new season.
Shaban netted the lone goal for coach Claude Loboko's side against coach Umar Abadallah's side.
