The Zambia Women's National Team, the Copper Queens, have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The team travelled from Algiers aboard a chartered flight, which they shared with the Algerian women's national team, departing Houari Boumediene International Airport at 20:50 local time before landing at Rabat International Airport at 22:25.
The Copper Queens completed their final preparations in Algeria before making the trip to Morocco, where they will be looking to make a strong impression at Africa's premier women's football tournament.
Coached by Swiss tactician Nora Häuptle, Zambia have been drawn into a competitive Group C alongside record champions Nigeria, Egypt and Malawi.
Zambia will begin their WAFCON 2026 campaign against Egypt on Tuesday, July 28, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 local time, before facing Nigeria and Malawi in the remaining group-stage fixtures.
The Copper Queens are aiming to continue their rise on the continental stage as they seek a deep run in the tournament and challenge for their first Women's Africa Cup of Nations title.
