Amini Nshimirimana scored twice as Burundi defeated Kenya to book their place in the semi-finals of the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, CECAFA Zone.
The Burundi No. 9 opened the scoring in the 10th minute, capitalising on a poor clearance from the Kenyan centre-back before dribbling past the goalkeeper and calmly slotting the ball into the back of the net.
Amini completed his brace in the second half, producing a looping header following a brilliant cross from the left flank to seal Burundi’s victory.
The result takes Burundi to six points at the top of Group C, confirming their place in the semi-finals.
Kenya, meanwhile, will have to wait for the outcome of the remaining Group C fixtures to determine their final position.
