Juba - Al Huriya FC have completed the signing of former El Merriekh SC Bentiu winger Silva Mador (Cavani) on a one-year contract ahead of the new South Sudan football season.
Cavani joins the club as a free agent after reaching a mutual agreement with reigning South Sudan Premier League champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu to terminate his contract.
The pacey winger was part of the El Merriekh SC Bentiu squad that won the South Sudan Premier League title, adding valuable top-flight experience to Al Huriya's ranks.
Before his spell at El Merriekh, Mador captained Al Hilal FC Juba and is also a graduate of Future Stars Football Academy, where he developed into one of the country's promising attacking talents.
His move to Al Huriya will see him reunite with two familiar faces from his academy days—head coach Samuel Gabriel and assistant coach Jadallah Peter, who previously guided his development at Future Stars Football Academy.
The reunion is expected to ease Mador's transition as Al Huriya continue strengthening their squad in preparation for the upcoming campaign, with the winger expected to play a key role in the club's ambitions.
