Al Hilal SC forward Kordman has suffered a serious injury that will require surgery, the Sudanese club has announced.
According to Al Hilal’s Media Centre, the player sustained the injury during a friendly match against Rwandan side Gishumbi on Saturday evening.
Medical examinations revealed a fracture in the ankle bone, classified as a Weber C fracture, which requires surgical intervention to stabilise the break and restore joint stability.
Dr Amr Karsawi, head of the club’s medical unit in Benghazi, said Kordman would undergo surgery before beginning a rehabilitation programme in line with the prescribed medical plan.
The club estimates that the forward will need approximately four to five months to recover, depending on the outcome of the surgery and his progress through the rehabilitation stages.
The injury represents a setback for Al Hilal as the club continues its preparations for upcoming competitions.
The club will monitor the player’s recovery and rehabilitation before determining when he can return to competitive action.
