Juba - Al-Hilal Wau made a flying start to the 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League season with a commanding 7-2 victory over Koryom FC at Buluk Playground.
James Mabak was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick to inspire Al-Hilal Wau to a dominant opening-day victory.
Simon K added two goals, while Gum. S and M. Alier were also on target.
Koryom FC found the net twice through Kabala, but the goals were not enough to prevent a heavy defeat as Al-Hilal Wau controlled the game and continued to threaten throughout.
Al-Hilal Wau completed the scoring in the 90+4th minute, sealing a seven-goal haul and an emphatic start to their Premier League campaign.
The victory puts Al-Hilal Wau top of the South Sudan Premier League table with three points, ahead of Malakia FC and Jamus FC, who also have three points but trail on goal difference.
Koryom FC sit bottom of the table with zero points after the opening round.
