Al Hilal SC head coach Gaï Bukkasa has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations ahead of a busy football season that will include the CECAFA Kagame Cup, CAF Champions League preliminary stages, and domestic competitions.
Speaking in his first interview with the club’s media department, Bukkasa said he was pleased with the team’s first training session and praised the attitude and determination shown by the players.
“We are very happy for this first session. I think players are coming, the rest of the group will be here in the city tonight,” Bukkasa said.
The coach said the team will take its objectives step by step while working to meet the expectations of the club’s supporters and leadership.
“We are going step by step. We are very happy to be in this club, which is one of the better clubs we have on the continent. We think that we have some targets in the very short term and also in the very long term,” he added.
Bukkasa promised to give maximum effort to help Al Hilal achieve its ambitions and make the club’s supporters proud.
“We will try to give the maximum to make our fans happy and to reach all goals the leaders set for the team. I think the mindset for the first session is very good, and the determination can be seen in the eyes of the players,” he said.
Al Hilal SC are among the clubs expected to compete in the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Kigali, Rwanda, while also preparing for the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds and the Sudanese domestic season.
