Sudan's Al Hilal SC made a winning start to the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after defeating Kenya's Tusker FC 2-0 in their Group C opener at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda.
Kamaradini Mamudu gave Al Hilal the lead in the 30th minute, finishing off a well-worked move to put the Sudanese champions in control before half-time.
Tusker FC searched for an equaliser in the second half, but Al Hilal defended resolutely and sealed the victory in stoppage time when Salim Adams struck in the 90+5th minute.
The win sees Al Hilal collect three valuable points to begin their Group C campaign strongly as they continue their quest for the regional title in Rwanda.
