Following the official draw in Morocco, the eight participating clubs were divided into two groups of four teams, with the top two sides from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
South Sudan champions Yei Joint Stars FC were placed in Group B alongside tournament hosts Simba Queens FC of Tanzania, Uganda’s She Corporate FC, and Djibouti’s Garde Républicaine FC.
The South Sudanese champions produced a mixed campaign, securing one victory and scoring six goals, but finished third in the group behind Simba Queens and She Corporate.
