Group A Review
Simba Queens and Lady Doves WFC emerged as the strongest teams in Group A, both finishing unbeaten on seven points. The Tanzanian champions claimed top spot thanks to a superior goal difference after scoring 14 goals in three matches.
Lady Doves also impressed throughout the group stage, becoming the only team in the tournament to complete the first round without conceding a goal.
PVP Buyenzi recovered from an opening defeat to record a victory over FAD Club but narrowly missed out on a place in the knockout stage. FAD Club finished bottom of the group after suffering three defeats and conceding 17 goals.
With Group A concluded, Simba Queens and Lady Doves WFC advanced to the semi-finals, while attention shifted to Group B, where South Sudan's Yei Joint Stars, hosts Vihiga Queens, Ethiopia's CBE FC and Zanzibar's New Generation FC battled for the remaining two knockout places.
