kigali, Rwanda- South Sudan U-15 have been handed a challenging draw in the CAF African Schools Football Championship — CECAFA Zone qualifiers, with the young side placed in Group B alongside Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
The South Sudan U-15 team, coached by John Garang, are already in Kigali, Rwanda, preparing for the three-day regional championship.

Meanwhile, Group A brings together Rwanda, Kenya, Sudan and Tanzania.
The tournament will run from September 3 to September 5, 2026, with matches scheduled at the FERWAFA Complex Stadium and Kigali Pele Stadium.
Big prize at stake
The CAF African Schools Football Championship also comes with a significant financial incentive.
The champions will receive USD 100,000, while the runners-up will take home USD 75,000 and the third-placed team USD 50,000.
For South Sudan U-15, the competition represents an opportunity to compete against some of the region's strongest young footballers, gain valuable international experience and fight for regional honours.
With three group-stage opponents standing between South Sudan and the next stage, John Garang's side will need a strong start when the competition gets underway in Kigali.
