MASERU, Lesotho – The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has officially opened the FIFA MA Young Referees Course, a five-day programme designed to develop and improve the skills of emerging match officials in the country.
The course, which began on Monday, 13 July, will run until Friday, 17 July at the Bambatha Tšita Sports Arena in Maseru.
The training programme focuses on enhancing referees’ technical knowledge, decision-making abilities, match management and understanding of the latest laws and standards of the game.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by FIFA and national football associations to invest in referee development and strengthen the quality of officiating across football.
LeFA said the course provides a valuable platform for young referees to gain knowledge and experience as they continue their journey towards the highest levels of the sport.
