JUBA, South Sudan β Jamus SC has welcomed Ivorian striker Daouda Karamoko Bamba to Juba as the South Sudanese club explores a potential deal for the experienced forward.
Bamba, 31, arrived in the capital on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, following his departure from Norwegian second-tier club Arendal Fotball.
The arrival of the Ivorian forward is being viewed as a significant development for Jamus SC, with Bamba bringing experience from European football to the South Sudan Premier League.
Born in March 1995, Bamba spent last season with Arendal Fotball, where he made six league appearances and scored two goals.
The striker has previously played for Turkish club Altayspor and Bulgarian powerhouse CSKA Sofia, giving him experience across several European football leagues.
Despite his limited appearances in Norway last season, Bamba's previous experience has generated excitement among Jamus SC supporters, who gathered to welcome him upon his arrival in Juba.
Members of the Jamus SC Executive Board also expressed their delight at the prospect of having the Ivorian forward in the club's setup.
However, Jamus SC has clarified that Bamba's arrival does not mean that a transfer has been completed.
The striker has not yet officially signed a contract with Jamus SC. Instead, he is expected to spend approximately two months in Juba, where he will acclimatize to the local weather and environment while training alongside the club's potential teammates.
Bamba is expected to remain in South Sudan until the December transfer window. If an agreement is reached and the necessary registration requirements are completed, the forward could become eligible to feature for Jamus SC in the South Sudanese league.
The move would also represent a new chapter in Bamba's career, as his potential spell with Jamus SC would mark the first time he has played professional football on the African continent.
For Jamus SC, the coming months will therefore be important as the club assesses the striker before deciding whether to formalize his signing.
