The South Sudan U20 National Team have taken their first steps towards another CECAFA campaign, completing their opening training session in Dar es Salaam on Monday morning.
The Young Bright Stars arrived in Tanzania yesterday and wasted little time getting back to work, training at the TRA Training Grounds as they prepare for their first Group C encounter against Burundi U20 on September 15.
This is more than just another tournament for South Sudan.
The Young Bright Stars made their first appearance in 2020 and went all the way to the final in 2022.
Now, a new generation has the opportunity to write its own chapter in the history of South Sudanese youth football.
After Burundi, South Sudan will face Kenya U20 on September 19 at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The mission is clear: start strong, compete with belief and fight for another memorable campaign.
