JUBA - Everest High Soccer Academy has raised questions over the expected impact of South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) President Francis Amin’s recent engagements with FIFA officials, calling for more tangible outcomes from international meetings.
In a statement published on its official platforms, the academy praised the importance of engaging with global football leaders but questioned whether such visits would translate into meaningful changes and development opportunities for South Sudan football.
“Meeting the FIFA President is not an answer to the crisis affecting the South Sudan Football Federation,” Everest High Soccer Academy stated, adding that previous engagements between federation leaders and FIFA executives had produced limited changes in the country’s football structures.
The academy said it expected SSFF’s international engagements to go beyond meetings with football administrators and focus on creating partnerships with clubs, agencies and global football personalities.
“What we expected from you, Mr President, was to meet with football legends, sports agencies and clubs to create businesses and links that can benefit South Sudan football,” the academy stated.
Everest High Soccer Academy said SSFF’s international engagements should focus on creating long-term partnerships with football institutions, clubs and development organisations, while also addressing internal challenges affecting the federation.
The academy further called for reforms within the football governing body, urging SSFF leadership to create more space for young professionals and fresh ideas to contribute to the growth of the sport.
The statement also suggested that future international engagements should explore wider opportunities beyond meetings with football administrators, including partnerships with clubs, agencies and former football stars.
However, the comments represent the views of Everest High Soccer Academy, and SSFF has not yet issued an official response regarding the concerns raised.
South Sudan football continues to seek greater development through improved administration, youth programmes, infrastructure investment and stronger international cooperation.
