The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has confirmed the 16 national teams that will participate in the 2026 Women’s Volleyball Africa Championship, following the conclusion of the continental qualification tournaments.
The championship will be hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together the continent’s leading women’s volleyball teams in a competition that will play a key role in the qualification pathway for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship.

The African champions will secure a direct ticket to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, while the three best-ranked teams that have not yet qualified will earn places at the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship.
CAVB praised the participating federations and zonal associations for their efforts throughout the qualification process and confirmed that all qualified teams are required to complete administrative procedures ahead of the tournament.
The Nairobi championship is expected to highlight the continued growth of women’s volleyball in Africa, with teams aiming for continental success and international recognition.
