PORT SUDAN – Al Merrikh SC have confirmed the arrival of four newly signed foreign players in Port Sudan as the club steps up preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The new arrivals include Malian Ibrahim Traoré, Ghanaian Anowik Morrison, Cameroonian Livford Nathan Douala, and Ivorian Sadiq Ali Koné. The quartet is expected to travel to Kigali, Rwanda, where Al Merrikh are holding their pre-season training camp.
The arrivals form part of the club's efforts to reinforce the squad ahead of the new campaign, with the players set to integrate into head coach's plans during the Rwanda camp.
Al Merrikh were initially expected to participate in the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup but later withdrew from the tournament. Kenyan champions Tusker FC were subsequently named as their replacement.
